I get a warning when opening the app. What should I do?

This is normal for apps from unknown developers. On Mac: Extract to desktop, right-click (two fingers), then Open. Approve the alert — this only appears on first launch or after updates. On Windows: Right-click the app, select Open, then click Open Anyway in the warning window.

I'm on Mac and the previous solution didn't work.

Open System Preferences, then Security & Privacy. In the General tab you will see a message about the blocked app. Click Open Anyway (or Allow), then try launching the app again. If another confirmation appears, click Open.

How much does OfflineDJ cost?

How many computers can I use with one subscription?

Basic plan: up to 2 computers. Pro plan: up to 3 computers. To add another computer, go to Profile, then Authorized Devices, and enter the 6-digit user number of the computer you want to add. If you unlink a computer, you must wait 90 days before linking a different one to that slot.

Where are songs downloaded?

Right-click the circle icon and choose Open Folder to view downloads. Single songs go to the Unsorted Music folder. Playlists and albums go to named folders. To change the download location: right-click the circle, then Settings, then Downloads, then Download Location.

I set FLAC as preferred, but it downloads MP3 instead.

The app tries to download in FLAC first; if not available, it falls back to MP3. You can switch priority using the toggle on the main circle or in Settings under Downloads.

What if the app can't find the song I searched for?

If the song isn't found, the app will ask if you want to download it from YouTube instead.

What happens when downloading directly from YouTube or SoundCloud?

The app first searches all music servers. If not found: SoundCloud tracks download directly at 128kbps quality, YouTube tracks prompt for confirmation before downloading.

Can I download from YouTube like a YouTube converter?

Yes. In Settings, enable: Download YouTube links directly from YouTube.

Why doesn't the app search YouTube for my song?

You likely set the YouTube download option to Never in Settings.

I got an Unsupported Link error. Why?

The link isn't supported by the app. Check the Supported Platforms section to see which sites are supported.

What is the File Replacer and how do I use it?

Drag an audio file (MP3 or FLAC) into the app. It identifies the track and looks for a higher-quality version. If found, the app backs up your old file to OLD TRACKS BACKUP and replaces it with the new file in the same folder with the same filename, preserving your DJ software library order. ID3 tags are copied to the new file.

How does the similar song feature work when the exact track isn't found?

In Settings you can choose: ask each time whether to download a similar track, always accept a similar track automatically, or never suggest similar tracks. Similar can mean the same artist or a similar song name.
